This partnership with NCDOT, Unichem, Inc., and the Town of Haw River enhanced the entrance to Haw River on Highway 70 East at West Main Street in 2015. Original plants included deodar cedar, Japanese cedar 'Yoshino', Oakland Holly, Fountain Grass 'Karley Rose', Loblolly pine, Chinese pistache. The plant material was revised in 2025 to include Sunrise ligustrum, Steed upright holly, and Little Gem magnolia.
